When compact size and payload flexibility are paramount, reach for the Mossberg 590S Shockwave. This ultra-compact 12 gauge pump shotgun measures just 26.37″ overall, yet cycles an incredible range of shotshell lengths from 1.75″ mini shells all the way up to 3″ magnums.
The 14.375″ cylinder bore barrel makes the 590S Shockwave highly maneuverable, while the unique redesigned action runs any combination of the supported shell sizes without the need for adaptors. Capacity tops out at 8+1 rounds with 1.75″ mini shells loaded.
Despite its feathery 5.3 lb weight, the 590S retains all the hostage-taming features that make the 590 a legend. These include non-binding dual extractors, positive steel-to-steel lockup, self-adjusting dual action bars, and Mossberg’s anti-jam elevator.
Up front, the Shockwave grip and strap fore-end provide excellent retention and control. The receiver is drilled and tapped, with the top tang safety being ambidextrous for intuitive operation by any shooter.
