Five-Port Recoil Control with Simple Timing-Nut Installation
Features
- Designed for compatible .223 Rem and 5.56 NATO rifles with 1/2×28 muzzle threads
- Five side ports redirect muzzle gases to reduce recoil and muzzle rise
- Smaller, less aggressively angled ports than the Apollo Max provide strong recoil control with less aggressive gas venting
- Included timing nut allows the brake to be properly oriented without relying on a crush washer
- .975″ outside diameter keeps the brake within a compact profile
- Stainless steel construction with a black nitride finish
The Ultradyne Apollo S is designed to reduce recoil and muzzle movement while using a less aggressive port arrangement than the company’s Apollo Max. Its five-port layout helps keep the rifle flatter through the shot, while the included timing nut simplifies proper orientation on compatible 1/2×28 .223 Rem and 5.56 NATO barrels.
Note: Ultradyne recommends 25 ft-lb of installation torque. Verify the host barrel’s thread pitch, caliber, and current Ultradyne minimum-barrel-length requirements before installation.
