The JP Enterprises LMOS bolt carrier is designed to reduce reciprocating mass in AR-15 platforms, helping minimize felt recoil and improve sight recovery during rapid fire. At just 6.68 ounces with the carrier key installed, it’s substantially lighter than a standard M16-pattern carrier and is commonly paired with adjustable gas systems and tuned buffer setups.
Unlike standard phosphate carriers, the LMOS uses a QPQ-treated stainless steel body for smoother operation and increased wear resistance. This version omits forward assist serrations to further reduce weight while retaining a dust cover notch for standard upper receiver compatibility.
Note: Not compatible with .308/AR-10 platforms. Proper tuning of the gas and recoil system is recommended when using low mass carriers.
