Lightweight Aluminum Castle Nut
Only a third of the weight of a mil-spec steel castle nut, the Fortis Standard Castle nut offers a simple way to trim fat from your AR-15 build. This 7076-T6 aluminum ring features standard cuts for an AR-15 multitool, and is installed the same way a regular nut is. The smaller cuts provide the perfect recess to stake your endplate into the castle nut, preventing rotation.
This part makes saving ounces on a lightweight build simple, without sacrificing the durability overall. The higher grade of aluminum means it will work as an excellent retainer to keep your receiver endplate and buffer tube secure.
