This assembled upper delivers a dedicated 9mm platform focused on affordable training and versatility without breaking the bank. This is the foundation for shooters building a pistol-caliber carbine for home defense, competition, or range use where you want the low recoil and cheap ammunition cost of 9mm in an AR-15 platform. The 15-inch 2A Basics ASAL handguard provides M-LOK mounting on all sides with a patent-pending Anti-Slip/Anti-Lift attachment system that ensures a rock-solid fit while keeping weight and cost down. This upper includes a Sylvan Arms Glock magazine conversion block so you can use your existing Glock 17 or 19 magazines in a standard Mil-Spec AR-15 lower.
The AT3 16-inch straight profile barrel in 9mm is crafted from 4150 CrMoV steel per MIL-B-11595E specs and features black nitride finish for durability. The 1:10 twist rate stabilizes common 9mm projectiles, and the 1/2×28 threads accept standard AR-15 muzzle devices. The 2A Basics ASAL handguard weighs just 10 ounces without mounting hardware and features M-LOK slots on all sides, anti-rotation tabs, and a shaved Picatinny top rail for weight savings while maintaining full functionality.
Built on AT3’s slick side billet upper receiver, this setup uses simple blowback operation—no gas system needed. The included Sylvan Arms conversion block is machined from black oxide steel and 6061-T6 aluminum with black anodized finish, installs easily into your standard AR-15 lower, and accepts popular Glock 17 and 19 pattern magazines. The AT3 9mm A2 flash hider effectively reduces muzzle flash and gives the muzzle a clean, finished look.
Note: Does not include bolt carrier group or charging handle. Requires 9mm-specific bolt carrier group. Magazine block does not include last round bolt hold open. Compatible with Glock 17 and 19 magazines. The upper is shipped fully assembled.

Limited 1 Year Warranty
- 2A Basics offers a limited 1 Year warranty against any defects from the manufacturing process. If your product is not usable, directly from the packaging, 2A Basics will replace or refund your items at no additional cost to you. 2A Basics reserves the right to withhold warranty support if product damage is deemed to be caused by the customer. Warranty expires 90 days after the verified purchase date.

All AT3 Tactical Brand Products carry a lifetime warranty against manufacturer’s defects.
This includes AT3 Red Dot Sights, Handguards, Iron Sights, and any other product that carries the “AT3 Tactical” or “AT3™” name. For other brands (ex. Magpul or Troy), please refer to the manufacturer’s warranty policy.
In the event that your AT3™ product becomes unusable, we will repair or replace the product at no charge to you.
If we cannot repair your product, we will replace it with a product in perfect working order of equal or better physical condition. The warranty is fully transferable, but we may require information about the original purchase to validate the authenticity of the product.
